Serve the City
As your mayor, I will challenge students to equip themselves to take advantage of the offerings of this great city. This is indeed the land of opportunity. The job market is thriving to such a point, that no citizen should be without a job. I will also work to ensure that our city employees are cared for.

Improving Infrastructure
Our sewage and water supply are issues of concern, as are our streets and sidewalks. They are being addressed and will continue to be addressed.

Increasing the Tax Base
Improving infrastructure demands revenue. It is my belief that revenue is best raised through building the tax base, not raising taxes.

Biosciences
With the growth of healthcare in our area, including Darnell, Seton, Baylor/Scott & White, and the VA, we must begin preparing our students to take advantage of these opportunities. There are well paying jobs for everyone will to equip themselves educationally. We must continue to support our Health and Biosciences Industries as it will yield significant results in terms of jobs.
PROJECTIONS FOR OUR COMMUNITY
The industries coming to Temple (including Panda Energy and Toyota) are expected to add an additional $50B dollars to our economy in the next 10 years. Our citizens must be prepared to capitalize on this economic potential. With the additions of our recent medical school and increased hospital systems we are potentially the best positioned city in the state. Temple is exploding with opportunity! As your mayor I will focus on the infrastructural needs these businesses require as well as the constant motivation our students will need to stay focused. I will work with both the business and the educational systems in place. Because of our growth, it is important that we attract the right kind of employees. In my opinion, that means working with Ft. Hood to display the job offerings to the hard working soldiers that are changing careers. Temple is an awesome place to be and I would be honored to lead the charge towards prosperity for our citizens. Together, let's work towards eradicating apathy and eliminating unemployment for the betterment of Temple's citizenry!
